DAVIDSON, N.C. – May 1, 2023 – Curtiss-Wright Corporation (NYSE: CW) today announced that it has signed an agreement with Shell Exploration & Production Company, a subsidiary of Shell plc (NYSE: SHEL), to manufacture, test, and provide operational support for an ElectroSubmersible Pump (ESP) for a Shell offshore platform in the Gulf of Mexico.

The objective of this joint initiative is to demonstrate Curtiss-Wright’s canned motor technology as an effective and reliable alternative to current subsea pump technologies that reduces unplanned outages and production interruptions. In addition to delivering the ESP solution, a test facility, funded as part of the agreement, will be designed and constructed by Curtiss-Wright to enable full-power testing to demonstrate the 125-foot-long, fully assembled pump’s capability and performance prior to its shipment and subsea deployment.

DAVIDSON, N.C. – April 25, 2023 – Curtiss-Wright Corporation (NYSE: CW) today announced it has been awarded a 5-year firm-fixed-price indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract by the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR). Under the multi-year program, with a maximum potential value of approximately $28 million, Curtiss-Wright will provide E-28 Retrieve Drive Assemblies including spare parts supporting the replacement of the legacy sub-systems across U.S. Navy and Marine Corps bases.

To Supply Aircraft Ship Integrated Secure and Traverse (ASIST) System

Cheswick, PA – March 17, 2023 – Curtiss-Wright’s EMS Division today announced that it has received a contract award from NAVANTIA SA S.M.E. for the supply of five (5) Aircraft Ship Integrated Secure and Traverse (ASIST) systems. The ASIST system will be the primary helicopter secure and traversing system on the F110 Class Frigates for the Spanish Navy.

CHESWICK, PA ­­ – Nov. 30, 2022 – Curtiss-Wright’s EMS division today announced that its INDAL business unit in Mississauga, Ontario has received an order to provide design services supporting Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC) program requirements. The contract was issued by Irving Shipbuilding Inc. in support of its contract with the Royal Canadian Navy for the supply of CSC ships. The design services will lead to the integration of Curtiss-Wright’s Aircraft Ship Integrated Secure and Traverse (ASIST) helicopter handling system into the overall CSC design.

DAVIDSON, N.C. & ROCKVILLE, M.D. --(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Curtiss-Wright Corporation (NYSE:CW) and X-energy announced today that they have signed a preferred strategic supplier agreement to advance the design and deployment of X-energy’s Xe-100 advanced Small Modular Reactor (SMR).

Under the terms of the agreement, Curtiss-Wright has been selected as a preferred supplier to develop and provide three of the most critical systems for the Nuclear Steam Supply System (NSSS), including:

• The Helium Circulator System, which transfers heat generated in the reactor core to a steam generator, where steam is produced to generate electricity or provide process heat for industrial applications;
• The Fuel Handling System, which performs continuous defueling and refueling of the reactor; loading fresh, recirculating used, and discharging spent fuel as required; and
• The Reactivity Control and Safe Shutdown System, which controls the outlet temperature of the reactor and provides a redundant shut down mechanism when required.

Curtiss-Wright estimates that its content for these three systems will be in excess of $100 million in revenue per four-unit (320 MW) plant. This effort will leverage the Company’s broad and long-standing expertise in nuclear power generation technologies to develop components and systems to support the new advanced reactor market. In addition, and subsequent to its selection in the competitive bid process, Curtiss-Wright committed to a minority equity stake in X-energy, supporting the company in its deployment of market-leading small modular nuclear reactor technology.

$2.25 Million Service & Repairs Onboard the USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74)

CHESWICK, PA – August 10, 2022 – Curtiss-Wright Corporation (NYSE: CW) recently completed work on a $2.25 million contract supporting Huntington Ingalls Industries Newport News Shipbuilding. Fleet Solutions, a business unit of Curtiss-Wright’s EMS division, was contracted to disassemble, remove generator rotor armature, and perform initial stator inspections and repairs on one of the eight Ship Service Generator units onboard the USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74), as well as clean, inspect, and perform follow-up repairs to the remaining seven units.

Fleet Solutions’ trained Field Service Engineers and Technicians allow Curtiss-Wright to provide field support across the active U.S. Navy fleet. Additionally, Fleet Solutions partners with public and private shipyards to provide the best in OEM field engineering support, including initial unit installation, scheduled service, and emergent repairs through the lifecycle of the vessel.

Fleet Solutions led the effort on the repairs and teamed with EMD, a business unit of the EMS division, and Siemens Test Group. DAVIDSON, N.C. – August 3, 2022– Curtiss-Wright Corporation (NYSE: CW) today announced that it has been awarded contracts valued in excess of $220 million to provide propulsion valves, pumps and advanced instrumentation and control systems for the U.S. Navy’s Virginia-class nuclear powered attack submarine, Columbia-class submarine and Ford-class aircraft carrier programs. The awards were received from Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc. (BPMI) and General Dynamics Electric Boat to support ship construction, spare parts and submarine back-fit procurements.
